πŸ§‘β€πŸ”¬ >10% Increase in US STEM Occupations by 2032

STEM occupations in the United States are projected to increase by 10.8% between 2022 and 2032, outpacing the 2.3% growth rate of non-STEM jobs. Consequently, Information security analyst positions are projected to grow by 31% from 2022 to 2032, with nearly 600,000 unfilled cybersecurity positions at present. The rise of artificial intelligence technology raises concerns regarding potential hindrances to critical thinking skills, which are vital for success in STEM careers.

🌊 East Asia and Pacific Lead with 25GW Hydropower in 2022

East Asia and the Pacific had the highest hydropower energy capacity additions in 2022 (25 GW),  significantly outpacing other regions. That's over nine times the amount of Europe’s 2.7 GW, which had the second-highest capacity. This is primarily due to countries like China in the East Asian region, which are leading in electricity production through hydropower. All other regions contributed less than 2 GW of new hydropower capacity in 2022.

🩺 Spain Leads in Europe with ~72% Telemedicine Adoption

In 2021, Spain led Europe in telemedicine adoption, with the service being used by about 72% of the population. Slovenia and Poland followed, with approximately 65% and 62%, respectively. Ireland and Lithuania also had high engagement, exceeding 55%. Major economies such as Italy, Germany, and France showed lower adoption rates, with figures close to 30% or lower, highlighting the disparity in telemedicine usage across Europe.
