๐ 2024 EdTech Funding Wrap. Join us for Global Skills Week, March 24-28 ๐บ๐ธ
Investors chose sustainability over scale in 2024 with total venture capital investment reaching $2.4B. Workforce upskilling solutions led global funding, closely followed by K-12. Join us for Global Skills Week in Washington D.C. March 24-28 2025.
๐ Happy New Year,
2024 saw $2.4B of EdTech Venture Capital, representing the lowest level of investment since 2015. The hype of 2021 is well and truly over, with investors seeking fundamentals over 'fluffโ and prioritizing sustainability and profitability over rapid expansion. North America dominated in funding value, with Europe just behind on deal volume and South Asia seeing a few mega-rounds.
Workforce training and development secured a third of the total, driven by upskilling and professional language learning, with another third going to K-12, particularly in K-12 support services.
