📖 75% Adult Literacy Rate in Morocco in 2022
Morocco’s adult literacy rate surged from 30% in 1982 to over 75% in 2022, driven by educational reforms and literacy initiatives. The National Strategy for Education and Training (2015-2030) aims for inclusive, equitable education, aligning with UN SDG 4. Efforts include expanding access to schooling and adult learning, especially in rural areas. Challenges persist, particularly among older adults and women, requiring continued targeted programs.
🛢️ 80% Drop in Dutch Natural Gas From 2012 to 2022
From 2006 to 2022, the Netherlands' natural gas production fell sharply from 64B cubic meters to 15B cubic meters, a decline of over 75%. This decrease is linked to the government’s decision to phase out gas extraction, particularly in Groningen, due to seismic risks. The shift supports the Netherlands' 2019 Climate Act targets to cut emissions by 49% by 2030 and 95% by 2050.
⚕️ India's Infant Mortality Rate Almost Halved in Ten Years
India’s infant mortality rate significantly declined from 42.9 in 2011 to 25.5 deaths per 1,000 live births in 2021, reflecting over a 40% reduction. This improvement is largely due to national initiatives like Janani Suraksha Yojana and Mission Indradhanush, which enhance maternal and child health and immunization access, particularly in rural areas. These efforts align with India's commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals, aiming for healthier lives and well-being for all.
