However, some Chinese-based companies, such as Xpeng, have plans to establish EV production and a data center in Europe to bypass these tariffs. Meanwhile,  Chinese companies like Geely, Chery, and JAC are continuing to expand into the Algerian market by setting up manufacturing facilities. In the aviation sector, Supernal revealed a new landing system for eVTOL aircraft, enhancing precision in challenging conditions. On the railway front, Costa Rica's electric train project secured significant funding from the European Investment Bank, while WΓ€rtsilΓ€ and Eidesvik Offshore signed a pioneering deal to use ammonia as fuel in shipping

⚑ Canada Slaps 100% Tariff on Chinese Electric Cars. Canada imposed a 100% tariff on imported electric cars manufactured in China, mirroring similar actions taken by the US and the European Union over the last few months. These tariffs will come into effect on October 1st.
