Microsoft, BlackRock, and the US government are launching a $30B fund and task force to address AI's data center and energy needs. European Commission is inviting applications for energy infrastructure projects under the Trans-European Network for Energy regulation. Turkmenistan and Afghanistan are advancing regional connectivity with seven major energy and transport projects. India is investing $346M in railway projects in Odisha to enhance industrial routes. Johnson Controls updated its Metasys Building Automation System for improved energy management and security. Ghana is establishing 16 regional STEM education centers, and Vallourec is acquiring Thermotite do Brasil for $17M to enhance pipe coating services in Brazil.

🖥️ Major Investment in AI Infrastructure. Microsoft, BlackRock, and the US government are launching a $30B fund and task force to address the data center and energy needs of AI.

⚡ EU Seeks Applications for Energy Infrastructure Projects. The European Commission opened a call for applications for energy infrastructure projects to obtain special status under the Trans-European Network for Energy regulation.

💡 Turkmenistan and Afghanistan Initiate Major Energy and Transport Projects. Turkmenistan and Afghanistan have initiated the construction of seven major energy and transport projects, including gas pipelines, power transmission lines, and rail infrastructure, to boost regional connectivity.

🛣️ South Korea's Massive Investment in Private Expressways. Over the past two decades, the South Korean government has invested a substantial amount of money, more than $3.76B, in private expressways. 

🛤️ India Launches Major Railway Infrastructure Projects in Odisha. Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched railway projects worth $345.84M in Odisha and dedicated a new 41 km railway section to augment capacity on an industrial route.

🚞 Massive Infrastructure Investment in India. The Indian government allocated a budget of $12.2B for constructing new tunnels across the country.

🏛️ Buildings

🏢 Johnson Controls Updates Metasys Building Automation System. Johnson Controls, a global leader in smart buildings, updated its Metasys Building Automation System to enhance energy management, network efficiency, and security.

🔌 New EV Charging Requirements for New Buildings in Wales. The Welsh Government launched a consultation on proposals to introduce new building regulations that would require the installation of EV charge points in new residential and non-residential buildings in Wales.

🏫 Social Infrastructure

📚 Ghana Boosts STEM Education with Regional Centres. Ghana is establishing 16 regional resource centers to promote STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) education nationwide.

🏫 Nigeria to Upgrade 50 Public Secondary Schools. The Federal Government of Nigeria allocated $61.7M to upgrade 50 secondary schools nationwide and provide them with modern teaching facilities.

💰 Infra Deals

👷 Vallourec to Bolster Pipe Coating Services in Brazil. Vallourec, a company in the mobility industry, is set to acquire Thermotite do Brasil, a Brazilian provider of thermal insulation pipe coating services, for $17.M.

✈️ Infrastructure Fund Acquires Airport Equipment Companies. CVC Capital Partners' infrastructure fund acquired CTC Airport Equipment and SPS International, two companies involved in airport equipment.

⚡ eVertiSKY Acquires Volatus for Charging Solutions. eVertiSKY Corp acquired Volatus Infrastructure & Energy Solutions.
