The global increase in cyberattacks on critical energy infrastructure highlights the urgent need for both enhanced cybersecurity measures and grid upgrades. Meanwhile, Western nations' $1 trillion investment in LNG infrastructure is seen as a threat to climate goals, conflicting with the push toward renewable energy. In Africa, Ghana began constructing its $12B Petroleum Hub, the continent's first integrated petrochemical complex. The US allocated $521M in grants to expand its EV charging network with over 9,200 new ports, and $800M in federal funding is available for low-carbon transportation projects. Israel is bolstering its infrastructure resilience through collaborations with Techtonic and IAI. In South Korea, the government plans to supply a record 252,000 public housing units and provide $531M in low-interest loans next year. Additionally, HomeLight, a real estate technology platform, raised $20M in new equity funding.

⚠️ Alarming Rise in Cyberattacks on Global Infrastructure. KnowBe4's report reveals a 30% increase in cyberattacks targeting critical energy infrastructure worldwide, underscoring the vulnerabilities faced by these sectors and the pressing need for enhanced cybersecurity measures.

🏭 $1 Trillion LNG Infrastructure Threatens Climate Goals. Western nations are investing heavily in liquefied natural gas infrastructure, which contradicts global efforts to transition to renewable energy and mitigate climate change.

⛽ Ghana Begins Construction of Africa's First Petrochemical Hub. Ghana started construction on the $12B first phase of the planned $60B Petroleum Hub, which aims to be Africa's first integrated petrochemical complex.

🚗 Federal Funding for Low-Carbon Transportation Projects. The federal government has announced the availability of $800M in funding for low-carbon materials to be used in transportation projects. This funding can be accessed by agencies and government units other than state transportation departments. 

🔌 U.S. Boosts EV Charging Network with $521M in Grants. The U.S. Department of Energy awarded $521M in grants to expand the electric vehicle charging infrastructure across the country by deploying over 9,200 new EV charging ports.

🚢 Maersk Opens the Largest Logistics Park in Saudi Arabia. Maersk, a global shipping and logistics company, opened its largest Logistics Park at Jeddah Islamic Port in Saudi Arabia.

🛡️ Israel Bolsters Infrastructure Resilience with Techtonic and IAI. Techtonic and Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) are working to enhance Israel's critical infrastructure resilience to ensure continuity in the event of potential attacks.

🏗️ $7B Construction Plan to Reshape Chicago from 2025. A $7B plan aims to reshape Chicago's infrastructure starting in 2025, impacting the construction industry, jobs, and mobile content for building professionals.

🏙️ Record Number of Public Housing Units to be Supplied Next Year. The South Korean government plans to supply a record 252,000 public housing units and provide $531M in low-interest loans next year to help stabilize housing for ordinary people, newlyweds, and others seeking homes.

🏘️ California Invests $790M in Sustainable Housing and Infrastructure. Governor Gavin Newsom announced that California will distribute nearly $790M to 20 communities across the state to support the construction of sustainable housing and infrastructure projects.

💰 HomeLight Raises $20M in Additional Equity Funding. HomeLight, a real estate technology platform, raised $20M in additional equity funding.

🏗️ Construction Materials Company Acquires Arizona Concrete Supplier. Sunroc Corporation, a subsidiary of Clyde Companies, Inc. specializing in construction materials, acquired Arizona Metro Mix, LLC, a concrete supplier.
