China approved a $31B expansion of its nuclear power sector, with plans to build 11 new reactors across five sites. Siemens Mobility will power Singapore’s new driverless Cross Island Line under a $305M contract, enhancing the city's metro infrastructure. The U.S. Department of Transportation is set to accelerate V2X technology, aiming for 20% deployment on the National Highway System within four years and full implementation by 2036. Vietnam and South Korea are partnering to establish a smart city cooperation center in Hanoi to advance urban technology. In Nigeria, a new 470M Naira hospital is under construction in Cross River State. Canadian firm WSP Global acquired U.S. consulting company Power Engineers for $1.7B, strengthening its position in the North American energy sector.

⚛️ China Greenlights $31 Billion Nuclear Power Expansion. China has given the go-ahead for the construction of 11 new nuclear reactors at five different sites, representing a $31 billion investment in nuclear energy.

🏗️ AIIB Pledges $5 Billion for Vietnam Infrastructure. The Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) recently announced it was willing to provide $5B in financing for a range of transport and renewable energy projects in Vietnam. 

🌱 Federal Funding Boosts Clean Energy Infrastructure in Minnesota. The federal government is funding 71 farms and small businesses in Minnesota to support clean energy and biofuel infrastructure projects.

🚇 Siemens to Power Singapore's New Driverless Metro Line. Singapore's Land Transport Authority awarded a $305M contract to Siemens Mobility and Concord Corporation for the power supply system of the upcoming Cross Island Line, the city's eighth metro line.

🛣️ India's Massive Road Infrastructure Investment. India announced plans to invest $20.5B in road-building projects nationwide, including a major ring road in Kerala. 

🚗 DOT Unveils Plan for Connected Vehicle Technology. The U.S. Department of Transportation plans to accelerate V2X technology, enabling vehicle-to-vehicle and infrastructure communication. The goal is to implement V2X on 20% of the National Highway System within four years, expanding to 50% by 2029-2031 and 100% by 2032-2036.

🤝 Vietnam and South Korea Collaborate on Smart City Development. South Korea and Vietnam jointly established a smart city cooperation center in Hanoi to share smart city technologies and systems.

🌳 World's Tallest Mass Timber Building Proposed in Milwaukee. Michael Green Architecture, an industry leader, proposed plans for the world's tallest mass timber building in Milwaukee, USA, which are now moving forward.

🏥 New 470 Million Naira Hospital Under Construction in Cross River State in Nigeria. The Cross River State government is constructing a new 470M naira general hospital, as announced by the State Commissioner for Health Dr. Henry Ayuk.

⛪ West Palm Beach to Donate Land for Vanderbilt University Campus in the US. The West Palm Beach City Commission approved donating 2 acres of land worth $12.8M to Vanderbilt University for the university to build a $520M graduate campus downtown.

💰 Canadian Engineering Firm Acquires U.S. Consulting Company for $1.78B. WSP Global, a Canadian engineering firm, acquired Power Engineers, a U.S. consulting firm, in a $1.78B cash deal to expand its North American energy sector presence.

🔋 Voltera Secures $100M Debt Facility for EV Charging Infrastructure. Voltera, a company that develops, owns, and operates charging infrastructure for zero-emission vehicle fleets, secured a $100M debt facility from ING and Investec.

🏢  Smart Window Startup Miru Raises $20.55M Series A. Miru, a Vancouver-based startup, announced $20.55M in Series A funding to accelerate the commercialization of its electronically tintable window technology.
