The U.S. government allocated $2.2B for grid resilience projects across 18 states, emphasizing the significant effort nations are placing on modernizing and strengthening power grids. Tanzania unveiled a $3.1B railway project aimed at enhancing its transport infrastructure. Architectural firm SOM is proposing a 3,000-foot-high skyscraper designed to be an innovative energy storage solution. Additionally, Eleport acquired TurboVolt GmbH to expand its EV charging network in Central and Eastern Europe, while Ceigall India is making its stock market debut with an IPO, which is expected to raise approximately $1.6B.

⚡ Feds Award $2.2B for Grid Resilience Projects. The U.S. federal government awarded $2.2B in grants to eight projects to improve grid resilience and innovation through transmission line and storage projects spanning 18 states.

🚅 Tanzania Unveils $3.1B Railway Project. As part of the government's efforts to boost infrastructure, Tanzania launched a $3.1B railway project built by a Turkish firm. The 541 km railway connects the administrative and commercial capitals.

🏗️ Architectural Firm Proposes World's Tallest Building as Energy Storage Solution. SOM, an architecture firm known for designing some of the world's tallest buildings, is developing gravity energy storage solutions for skyscrapers and other structures, including a proposed 3,000-foot-high battery that could become the world's tallest building.

⚡ Eleport Expands EV Charging Network with TurboVolt Acquisition. Eleport, a leading electric vehicle public charging network operator in Central and Eastern Europe, acquired TurboVolt GmbH in a strategic move.

📈  Ceigall India IPO listing today. Ceigall India, an infrastructure construction company, is getting its shares listed on the stock exchange today through an IPO. Market observers expect the raise to be $1.69B.

🤝 dss+ Acquires Global Infrastructure Consulting Firm Infrata. dss+ announced the acquisition of Infrata, a leading global infrastructure consulting firm.

🚉 Transportation Infrastructure Firms TranSystems and Gannett Fleming Merge. TranSystems, backed by Sentinel Capital Partners, and Gannett Fleming, backed by OceanSound Partners, merged to form a combined transportation infrastructure services company.
