Cost Hinders Low-Income Healthcare

💸 Cost forces many lower-income adults to delay or forgo essential medical care, highlighting significant economic barriers to health and well-being.
💬 Low-income individuals limit healthcare access; those below 200% FPL (40%) delay care more than higher earners (23%). This restricts essential healthcare, impacting productivity and long-term economic stability.
🪫 Despite employer insurance, lower-income individuals face disproportionate costs, spending a larger portion of their income on premiums. This regressive burden restricts disposable income and consumption, highlighting inequitable financial protection and access.
