CerpassRx partnered with Waltz Health to launch Intelligent Specialty Engine, an AI-powered tool for managing specialty drug spending. Ring Therapeutics partnered with Singaporean research agencies to develop gene therapies for eye diseases and cancer aiming to advance Ring's Anellogy platform. Ring seeks to accelerate the clinical translation of its AnelloVector therapies and enhance methods for producing these treatments. In health funding,  Neurogene secured $200M in private placement financing this raise will support the development of a gene therapy dubbed NGN-401 that’s being developed for the rare brain disease Rett syndrome.

💊 Drug Production

⚕️ Transgene formed a licensing agreement with ProBioGen. This agreement aims to produce personalized cancer vaccines using their AGE1.CR.pIX cell line for large-scale production.

🩺 Ascendis Pharma partnered with Novo Nordisk and granted Novo Nordisk a license to its TransCon technology platform for developing and commercializing products in metabolic and cardiovascular diseases.

🧑‍⚕️ AbbVie partnered with EvolveImmune to create next-generation cancer biotherapeutics. EvolveImmune's T-cell engager EVOLVE platform will address cancer cell resistance to existing immunotherapies. 

🌐 AI in Health

🤖 CerpassRx partnered with Waltz Health to launch an AI-powered tool to manage specialty drug spending better.  Intelligent Specialty Engine, an AI-powered tool uses Waltz Health's real-time data analytics to help clients reduce costs, increase transparency, and improve experiences for patients and plan sponsors.

📊 LVIS Corporation launched an AI-powered platform for electroencephalogram (EEG) data analysis in the US.  NeuroMatch Access is an AI-powered platform that received FDA approval in 2023. The platform uses AI to analyze EEG signals by filtering out unwanted artifacts leading to improved clinical workflows.

📋 J INTS BIO signed a MoU at Yonsei University to launch an AI-driven partnership aimed at transforming cancer treatment. The partnership brings together prominent institutions to advance personalized lung cancer therapies.

🧬 Biotechnology

🧪 Ring Therapeutics partnered with Singaporean research agencies to develop gene therapies for eye diseases and cancer. Ring Therapeutics to advance its Anellogy platform, which uses adenoviruses, a small abundant virus that doesn’t cause human diseases to deliver gene therapies to cells.

🔬 Inocras Inc. and Summit Pharmaceuticals International Corporation (SPI) signed a MoU to collaborate on bringing whole genome sequencing (WGS).  The partnership aims to transform healthcare in Japan by using genomic data and bioinformatics to improve the understanding and treatment of cancer and genetic disorders. 

🏥 GenomOncology partners with Genomenon to enhance germline variant classification and genomic reporting.  GenomOncology integrates Genomenon’s Mastermind Data, a curated collection of genomic information, into its knowledge base, allowing customers access to detailed genomic insights.

👨‍⚕️ Tech Mahindra Foundation, in partnership with GIZ India and Tech Mahindra, has launched Project ASCENT, introducing healthcare careers. A dedicated job portal for Allied Healthcare Professionals was launched earlier this week aiming to simplify the recruitment process and bridge the gap between job seekers and recruiters, specifically targeting hospitals, nursing homes, and healthcare institutions throughout the country.

🏥 A new £50 million medicines manufacturing facility is planned for Newcastle. Funded through a public-private investment partnership between the government and Accord Healthcare. The facility will create over 50 skilled jobs and provide the NHS with essential medicines for oncology and autoimmune diseases, enhancing the UK's health resilience.

HolonIQ has also launched the Green Skills Map, an open-source framework initiated for the purpose of cataloging, evaluating, and contextualizing the different components of the rapidly expanding field of green jobs. This comprehensive taxonomy will serve as a resource for understanding the full spectrum and complexity of green skills required across various sectors, thereby enabling a cohesive approach toward achieving net zero and decarbonizing the global economy. 🦠 Neurogene secured $200M in private placement financing, involving top-tier healthcare funds, to support its innovative genetic therapies for rare neurological diseases. 

🧬 AvenCell raised $112M in Series B funding to expedite the clinical validation of its CAR-T cell therapy platform.

💉 Cytovale raised $100M in Series D funding to expand its diagnostics platform for early detection of immune-mediated diseases.

🩹 Precision Neuroscience raised $93M in a funding round to advance its brain-computer interface (BCI) technology.

🧫 Inquis Medical raised $40M in Series B funding to use the funds to complete its IDE trial.
