🏫 >150K Male Than Female Students in German Schools
In 2023, Germany had NEARLY 4.5M male and 4.3M female students, with a gap of over 150K. Male enrollment has consistently exceeded female enrollment since 2014, and both have grown steadily since 2020. To address this gap, Germany implements the Framework Act for Higher Education (HRG), promoting equal opportunities in universities, and the SHE- Support Her Education Initiative, which helps female students to return to school and overcome educational barriers.
⚕️ >35 Doctors Served Every 10K People in the US
In 2022, the US had over 35 doctors per 10K people, up from over 25 in 2018. This growth supports government goals to expand and strengthen the healthcare workforce. Key policies include the Health Workforce Strategic Plan (HHS), focusing on workforce supply and distribution, and the Global Health Worker Initiative (GHWI), which aims to support and protect health workers while addressing shortages and improving healthcare access nationwide.
🍃 China’s Solar PV Workforce Was 14x Bigger Than India’s
In 2023, China led renewable energy employment with over 4.5M solar PV jobs-over 14 times compared to India, and also dominated the hydropower and wind sectors. This growth is driven by China’s "Guiding Opinions on Vigorously Implementing the Renewable Energy Substitution Initiative". To address this gap, India implemented many policies. India’s Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission (NSM) promotes large-scale renewable capacity expansion to meet its respective climate and energy goals.
