🏫 Germany's School Leavers Declined by Over 70K

Germany saw a decline of over 70K school leavers from 2015 to 2022, reflecting demographic shifts and impacting future labor supply. To address this, the government launched the Starting Opportunities Programme (Startchancen-Programm), boosting education in disadvantaged schools, and the Digital Pact 2.0 for Schools to enhance digital infrastructure and skills. These policies aim to improve educational equity and prepare students for a digital economy.

🍃 Brazil Had 40% More Wind Energy Jobs Than India

In 2023, India led in hydropower and solar photovoltaic (PV) employment, while Brazil’s wind energy sector employed over 40% more people than India’s. This was driven by supportive policies such as Brazil’s Offshore Wind Development Law, which encourages investment and job creation. India’s leadership in solar PV employment stemmed from ambitious targets and initiatives like the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme, which promotes domestic manufacturing and job growth. Both countries demonstrate strong government commitment to expanding renewable energy.

🤖 Nearly 50% of Adults Aged Between 16 to 29 Not Using AI

In May 2023, less than 10% of adults in Great Britain reported using AI "a lot," reflecting limited AI awareness despite the growing sector value. To boost adoption, the UK government launched the National AI Strategy and Action Plan, investing over $1.3B to support AI innovation and integration. Additionally, the Digital Inclusion Action Plan: First Steps (2025) aims to improve digital skills and access, addressing awareness gaps and promoting wider AI use.
