🎓 Nearly 700K Registered Apprentices in the US

In FY 2024, US registered apprentices reached nearly double that of FY 2015. This growth reflects federal goals to expand skills-based training and workforce development. Key policies include the National Apprenticeship Act, which sets standards for apprenticeships, and the American Apprenticeship Initiative, supporting job-driven programs. Together, these efforts aim to close skills gaps and create more apprenticeship opportunities across diverse industries.

🤖 Nearly 40% of the Labor Market Is GenAI-Exposed

In 2024, Ontario had the highest labor market exposure to generative AI at nearly 40%, while Saskatchewan and Newfoundland and Labrador had the lowest, at around 30%. To manage this, Canada promotes the Voluntary Code of Conduct on GenAI to adopt best practices for safe and ethical AI deployment, and the $2.4B Budget 2024 AI Investment Package supports ethical AI use, job growth, and skills training.

⚕️ Number of Nurses and Midwives Reached >130 per 10K People

Between 2010 and 2022, registered nurses and midwives in the US grew from nearly 110 to over 130 per 10K people, with a pandemic dip in 2020. This aligns with government goals to strengthen the health workforce through policies like the HRSA Nursing Workforce Development Programs and the National Plan for Health Workforce Well-Being, which focus on education, retention, and improving work environments to ensure a resilient nursing workforce.
