👶 >AU$3B in Subsidies for Centre-based Day Care in Australia

Australian early childhood education spending continued to increase as the government allocated over AUD 3B in subsidies in Q1 2025 for centre-based day care. The Australian government is expanding eligibility, allowing three days of subsidized childcare for eligible students and revising income thresholds to ease financial burdens. The Child Care Subsidy (CCS) is the primary policy instrument, implemented by the Australian Department of Education, aimed at making childcare more affordable and accessible.
🍃 >8% German and Swedish Auto Workers Possess EV skills
Sweden and Germany lead globally in 2024, with 9.3% and 8.9% of automotive professionals possessing at least one EV skill, respectively. These skills are essential for a smoother workforce transition and remaining competitive among fears of automation and disruption. Automakers across the world are actively reskilling their workforce to meet these rising demands, especially in Europe. Rising volumes of EVs from makers like China have created new jobs in the EV market, posing threats to traditional automotive jobs.

To address the evolving job market, organizations are focusing on reskilling initiatives to prepare employees for AI-driven roles.
