This week, Singapore is redefining its workforce strategy by investing in Agentic AI and skills-based hiring, with major backing from Salesforce and Oracle to upskill 10,000 professionals by 2027. IBM is launching an AI Software Lab in Lucknow to develop language model solutions, create jobs, and position India as a global AI innovation hub. Dubai’s DMCC has integrated Oracle Generative AI to streamline HR and finance functions, setting a new standard for enterprise AI adoption in the UAE.

India, in collaboration with the World Economic Forum, has introduced the India Skills Accelerator to equip workers with AI, robotics, and clean energy expertise for a future-ready economy. King’s College London, through its Digital & Data Academy, is enhancing institutional efficiency by upskilling staff in data tools and decision-making via a structured 13-month program. Saudi Arabia’s Future Tech Leaders initiative, in partnership with UC Berkeley, is training executives in advanced technologies to bridge leadership gaps and drive national digital transformation.

With just 30% of leaders confident in their teams’ skills, the shift is driving a focus on skills-based hiring, hybrid workforces, and AI-powered upskilling. The lab will create jobs, train local talent, and boost India’s role in global AI innovation under IBM’s “Innovate in India” mission.

🏢 DMCC Boosts Workforce Efficiency with Oracle GenAI Integration. Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC) has adopted Oracle Generative AI to automate HR, finance, and enterprise operations. Through AI-powered assistants, document understanding, and real-time analytics, DMCC streamlined processes like leave requests and policy queries, reducing HR workload and improving self-service adoption. Implemented in just 3 months, the initiative sets a benchmark for enterprise AI transformation in the UAE.

🌐 India Collaborates with WEF to Launch ‘India Skills Accelerator’ for Enhanced Skill Development. India partners with the World Economic Forum to launch the India Skills Accelerator, aiming to upskill and reskill workers in AI, robotics, and clean energy. The initiative bridges the education-industry gap through public-private collaboration, lifelong learning, and mentorship—empowering youth for a digital economy and supporting India’s $5T growth vision.

🏫 King’s College London Launches Digital & Data Academy for Smarter Operations. In partnership with Multiverse, King’s College London is upskilling 75 staff members through a 13-month Data Fellowship to enhance data literacy, efficiency, and decision-making. Funded via the apprenticeship levy, the program uses applied learning in tools like Power BI, addressing critical skill gaps in higher education. This move supports the university’s digital transformation while empowering staff to focus on strategic, high-impact work.

👨‍💼 Saudi Arabia Launches Future Tech Leaders Program for Executives. Tuwaiq Academy, backed by the National Technology Development Program and MCIT, has introduced a six-month Future Tech Leaders program in partnership with UC Berkeley. Tailored for CEOs and IT managers, the course delivers hands-on training in AI, data science, cybersecurity, and digital transformation. The initiative aims to close the tech skills gap among leadership, preparing professionals to steer Saudi Arabia’s innovation agenda.
