🧑⚕️ Neonatal Conditions Cause 30% of Deaths Among Refugee Children
In 2022, neonatal conditions caused 27% of deaths among children under five in refugee camps, with lower respiratory infections and malaria each at 12%. In response, global initiatives like the UNICEF-UNHCR Strategic Collaboration Framework focus on integrating refugee children into national health and education systems. These programs emphasize nutrition, immunization, and mental health support, aligning with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 3, which aims to ensure health and well-being for all.
