đź’Ľ >80% of Australia's PGT Research Students Are Employed

In 2023, postgraduate research students in Australia exhibited the highest employment rate at 86.6%, highlighting strong employability of international postgraduate research students, despite a scarcity of academic positions where PhDs are typically in demand, amongst many other shortages of jobs for graduate employment. Many highly qualified PhD graduates are facing challenges finding competitive pay in alternative career paths. Australian universities are rethinking doctoral degrees to better align with diverse career opportunities in order to retain the inflow of international PhD students.

⚕️ Over 35% of Registered US Nurses Report Increased Workloads

Over 35% of the US registered nurses report significantly increased workloads and high levels of burnout, a leading cause of workforce exits, according to the National Council of State Boards of Nursing. Oncology nurses especially feel this strain post-COVID, as noted at the 50th Annual Oncology Nursing Society Congress. With the global nursing shortage intensifying, this trend poses serious risks to US healthcare. In response, the government has increased funding and education through Title VIII Nursing Workforce Development Programs to support and retain nurses.

🏭 China Installed 40% More Robots Than Other Countries Combined

In 2023, China installed nearly 40% more industrial robots than all other countries combined, reinforcing its position as the world’s largest and fastest-growing robotics market. Driven by initiatives like "Made in China 2025" and the Robotics Five-Year Plan, the country is fostering innovation through state-backed VC funds and a thriving AI and robotics startup ecosystem. With a shrinking workforce and labor shortages in manufacturing, automation has become essential. China's strategic focus ensures it stays ahead in industrial robotics innovation.
