🏫 >70M Primary Aged Children Out of School in 2023

From 2000 to 2023, out-of-school primary-aged children in lower-middle-income countries decreased from 81M to 32M, reflecting progress toward Sustainable Development Goal 4. However, low-income countries still face challenges, with 25M children out of school. Initiatives like the Out-of-School Children Initiative (OOSCI) and the Global Partnership for Education aim to address barriers such as poverty and inadequate infrastructure, emphasizing the need for increased education financing and inclusive policies.

🏭 Nearly 3M Jobs Lost in the US

From 1991 to 2016, the US lost approximately 2.75M jobs for workers without a bachelor’s degree, with manufacturing accounting for 2.39M of these losses due to automation and globalization. In response, government initiatives like the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) aim to revitalize the workforce through job-driven training programs and vocational education, ensuring that individuals have access to sustainable employment opportunities in a changing economy.

βš•οΈ 20% Rise in Average Weekly Earnings

Average weekly earnings in elderly care facilities rose by 24.7% from 2021 to 2024, reflecting rising labor costs amid workforce shortages. Policies like the American Rescue Plan, Medicaid Workforce Development Reforms, and initiatives such as AI-driven workflow automation and multi-state licensing compacts aim to address these challenges. These efforts focus on recruitment, retention, educational pathways, and leveraging technology to stabilize the healthcare workforce and improve patient care access.
