🏫 >60% of Secondary Students Use AI for Homework

In 2023, over 60% of UK secondary students used AI tools like ChatGPT for homework, 40% for home learning, and nearly 30% during lessons. This trend highlights the growing reliance on AI to support learning beyond traditional classrooms. Government initiatives such as the AI Opportunities Action Plan and the AI Tools for Education Initiative aim to support teacher training and resource development. These policies seek to modernize education, reduce workloads, and ensure AI's equitable and safe adoption in schools.

🍃 Over 70% of Green-Task Jobs Were Held by Men

In 2021, men held over 70% of green-task jobs, while women held nearly 30%, highlighting a persistent gender gap. To address this, governments introduced policies such as India’s Green Skill Development Programme, which trains women in renewable energy and waste management. The Indo-German Green Skills Programme (2024–2026) focuses on gender-inclusive vocational training in the solar and electric vehicle sectors. These initiatives aim to boost women’s participation in green jobs through targeted skill development.

🏭 >1.5% Increase in US Chemical Manufacturing Unemployment

The US chemical manufacturing sector's unemployment rate fluctuated from 3.5% (Dec 2024) to nearly 4% (Mar 2025), reflecting sector volatility. Key policies include the CHIPS and Science Act, boosting advanced manufacturing supply chains, and the Inflation Reduction Act, incentivizing clean chemistry through tax credits and decarbonization. Both align with federal goals to stabilize employment via re-shoring and green transition.
