💰 Secondary Education Made Up 45% of Russia’s Ed Spend
In 2022, the Russian government allocated approximately 5.3T RUB to education, prioritizing secondary education with 2.4T RUB. Preschool education followed with 1T RUB, and higher education received 712B RUB. This investment aligns with national goals outlined in the National Project Education and the Priority-2030 initiative, focusing on enhancing quality, accessibility, and digital integration in schools. Key initiatives aim to improve vocational training to meet labor market demands and foster innovation through applied research.

In 2023, Spain's energy capacity is led by wind at 30.7 GW, followed by combined cycle at 26.3 GW and solar at 24.6 GW, with renewables comprising over 61% of total capacity. The government aims for 81% renewable electricity by 2030 through the National Energy and Climate Plan (NECP), investing €308B in clean technologies, promoting green hydrogen, and accelerating the coal phase-out to 2025.
🧑⚕️ Undernourishment Was Highest in Central Africa in 2022
In 2022, Central Africa had the highest undernourishment rate in Africa at nearly 30%, followed by Eastern Africa at 28.5%, while Northern Africa reported the lowest at 7.5%. To combat these disparities, the African Union aims to end hunger by 2025 through initiatives like the Comprehensive Africa Agriculture Development Program and the African Development Bank's $1.5 billion initiative, which focuses on enhancing agricultural productivity and promoting nutrition-sensitive policies across the continent.
