🏫 40% Completion Rate for Ghana’s Middle Schools

Ghana’s school completion rates highlight several disparities across the region in education. The highest completion rate was at the middle school level with over 40% of male and female students completing the level. However, only 26% of males would complete their secondary level. Ghana initiated the Free Senior High School program in 2017 to align with the UN Sustainable Development Goals to improve educational infrastructure and access.

🚗 800K EV Registrations in Germany

European registrations of new electric vehicles across Europe showed a strong preference for battery electric vehicles (BEVs) over plug-in hybrids (PHEVs). Germany topped the region with 460K BEVs versus 360K PHEVs, followed by the UK with 270K BEVs. This trend aligns with the European Union's ambitious climate objectives outlined in the European Green Deal and the Fit for 55 package, which aims to achieve a 55% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions by 2030.

⚕️ Over 1T Peso Spent on Philippine Healthcare

From 2014 to 2022, total health expenditure in the Philippines increased significantly, rising from 490B PHP to a peak of 1.13T PHP in 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This upward trend reflects the government’s commitment to strengthening the healthcare system. Continued investment is crucial to address existing health inequities and ensure access to quality healthcare for all Filipinos.
