💰 40% of France's Budget Allocated to Secondary Education in 2021

In 2021, France's education expenditure totaled €131.4 billion, or 5.24% of GDP. The allocation was 29.4% for primary education, 38.2% for secondary, 21.5% for higher education, 9.1% for continuing education, and 1.7% for extracurricular activities. This distribution highlights a strong emphasis on secondary education, which received the largest share of funding.

🍃 Europe's Renewable Consumption Up 8%

From 2012 to 2021, the share of renewable energy in the EU’s gross consumption rose from 14.2% to 21.8%. The most significant increase occurred between 2019 and 2020, when the share grew from 19.9% to 22%, driven by the European Green Deal and national policies. Despite this progress, a slight decline in 2021 highlights ongoing challenges. Achieving the EU's 42.5% renewable energy target by 2030 will require continued investment and innovation.

🌐 >50% Internet Penetration in India

From 2014 to 2024, India’s internet penetration rate surged from 13.5% to 52.4%, driven by expanding digital infrastructure, affordable devices, and rising demand for online services. The most significant jump occurred between 2019 and 2020, when the rate increased from 33.7% to 43.4%, due to the COVID-19 pandemic accelerating digital adoption. Despite this progress, over 680 million people remain offline, particularly in rural areas.
