🏫 Number of Primary Schools in Sweden Decline

The decline in Sweden’s primary schools, from 4.8K in 2014 to 4.7K in 2023, reflects demographic shifts and policy changes. Key initiatives include the Digitization Strategy 2023–2027, promoting balanced use of digital tools, and grants for textbooks. Programs like More Time for Learning offer extra study hours and extended holiday schools, while SEK 200 million is allocated to train special teachers, ensuring equitable, high-quality education.

⚑ 60% of Jobs in Power Grids Were From Utilities

Global power grid employment reached 8M in 2023, driven by utilities with 60% of employment and China's expanding infrastructure. Despite $400B in projected 2024 grid investments, engineering and digital skill gaps persist. The UK's Clean Power Action Plan prioritizes grid upgrades through Ofgem's fast-track connection system and NESO's offshore wind integration strategies. China's 14th Five-Year Plan accelerates grid modernization, while Kenya's Last Mile Connectivity Project expands access.

βš•οΈ Medical Graduates in the UK Have Doubled Since 2004

UK medical graduates per 100,000 inhabitants rose from 8.16 in 1987 to 13.52 in 2022. Growth accelerated after 2000 due to increased medical school capacity. The NHS Long Term Workforce Plan aims to double medical school places by 2031, focusing on areas with shortages. Initiatives include expanding education, improving retention, and reforming work models to ensure a sustainable healthcare workforce.
