๐Ÿ‘ถ Childcare Costs 30% of NZ's Household Income

In 2022, Switzerland and New Zealand had the highest childcare costs at 27%, while Germany was the lowest at 1%. Estonia's low childcare costs are supported by policies like the Child Allowance and Parental Benefit. Norway's Family Allowance provides financial support to families, and Iceland's Childcare Guarantee ensures access to affordable childcare for all children. These countries, along with Portugal, are recognized for their family-friendly policies, which enhance work-life balance and support economic growth.

๐Ÿญ <15% of C-Suite Roles in STEM Held by Women

Women's representation in STEM and non-STEM roles decreases with seniority, with 52% at entry levels in non-STEM and 29% in STEM, dropping to 24% and 12% respectively in the C-suite. To address this, the US has implemented policies like the Equal Pay Act and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act. Additionally, initiatives such as affirmative action and paid parental leave aim to support women's career advancement. Globally, policies like Sweden's generous parental leave and the UN's Sustainable Development Goals also promote gender equality.

๐Ÿƒ Green Employment in Rhode Island Up 15%

Rhode Island led US green employment growth in 2023 with 14.07% growth, followed by 12.9% and 9.76% growth in Nevada and Arizona respectively. Growth was driven by federal policies like the Inflation Reduction Act, state renewable energy targets, and incentives for clean technology. The Biden administrationโ€™s goal for a carbon-free power sector by 2035 and net-zero emissions by 2050, along with workforce training and tax credits, continue to support expansion in green jobs nationwide.
