🏫 30% Drop in Poland’s Primary Schools

From 1991 to 2023, Poland’s primary schools for children declined by 31%, largely due to demographic shifts and the consolidation and closure of schools resulting from reforms like the 1999 education reforms. The government’s 2017 reform emphasizes universal, compulsory education, health, civic, and digital skills. Investments, new curricula, and teacher training support these goals, enhancing quality and inclusivity despite fewer schools, preparing students for lifelong learning and citizenship.

🏭 >1.5% Unemployment in US Transport Manufacturing

Between December 2024 and March 2025, unemployment in the US transport equipment manufacturing sector fell by over 50%, from 3.6% to 1.7%. This drop reflects increased production demand and supply chain stabilization, supported by government policies like the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, which funds transit equipment modernization, and strengthened Buy America requirements. These initiatives boost domestic manufacturing, create jobs, and align with goals to enhance economic growth and workforce development.

🤖 <10% of Management Roles Required AI Skills

Between 2019 and 2022, 73% of online AI-skilled vacancies in Europe targeted professionals, with lower demand in other roles. To address digital skills gaps and boost competitiveness, the EU is implementing the AI Act, setting clear rules for AI use and launching the Apply AI Strategy to accelerate AI adoption across industries. These policies aim to foster innovation while ensuring ethical, inclusive AI deployment.
