💼 30% Drop in Training Hours Provided by Small-Sized US Firms

Training hours in small US companies dropped 30%, the lowest since 2020. In 2021, company training expenditure rose about 10% to over $90B to support efficient virtual training methods. Due to pandemic recovery and growing economic pressures, companies began cutting training budgets, reducing hours. This decline undermines federal upskilling goals. In response, initiatives like the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act and the 2025 Executive Order aim to promote upskilling and better integrate training methods.

🏭 South Korea Leads in Global Robot Density

Due to South Korea's strong electronics and automotive industries, led by companies like Samsung and Hyundai, the country leads in robot density, with over 1K robots per 10K employees, followed by Singapore and China. This growth is driven by policies like the “Fourth Intelligent Robot Basic Plan, which invests over $2B to deploy 1M robots by 2030. Similar initiatives have been launched globally with China’s “Made in China 2025” policy, which aims to boost productivity through automation and intelligent robotics.

🤖 30% of UK ICT Firms Use AI in Product Development

In 2023, only 30% of UK information and communication firms used AI for new product development, with several factors contributing to the modest adoption rate. A major barrier is the shortage of AI professionals, as over 90% of UK IT businesses reported lacking AI talent. To address this, the UK launched the National AI Strategy, the 2023 AI Regulation White Paper, and the 2025 AI Opportunities Action Plan, aiming to accelerate AI adoption across UK sectors.
