๐ฐ Dutch Education Spend Doubled in 10 Years
From 2002 to 2022, Dutch government spending on education doubled, growing from โฌ24.3 billion to โฌ51.4 billion. The โฌ4.7 billion jump between 2020 and 2021 reflects efforts to address pandemic-related challenges, enhance digital learning, and reduce disparities. This significant investment aligns with long-term goals of fostering innovation, lifelong learning, and preparing a competitive, highly skilled workforce.
๐ $20K EV Subsidies in Norway
In 2022, Norway led global EV subsidies with $20,360 per purchase, far exceeding Singapore ($11,533) and the US ($7,500). This aligns with Norway's goal of selling only zero-emission vehicles by 2025, driven by financial incentives and infrastructure investments, contributing to over 86% of new car sales being electric in 2021.
โ๏ธ US Leads Global Health Expenditure
In 2022, health expenditure as a percentage of GDP varied widely, with the US at 16.6%, Germany at 12.7%, and France at 11.9%. In contrast, India spent just 3%, Tรผrkiye 4.3%, and China 5.7%. This disparity highlights a gap in healthcare funding, impacting access and quality, and stressing the need for increased investment in lower-spending countries to enhance health outcomes and economic productivity.
