๐ถ Pre-Primary School Enrollment in Iceland Reached >20K
Over 20,000 students were enrolled in Iceland's pre-primary education by 2023, amounting to 5% of their population of 400,000. Consistent enrollment in pre-primary education aligns with participation in the Government's Compulsory Education Framework from primary education onwards. While governed under the 2008 Compulsory School Act, the Icelandic Agency for Quality Assurance carries out timely updates on syllabi to align with current trends under the Quality Enhancement Framework. โ๏ธ 40% Fall in NHS Nursing Vacancies in England
NHS nursing vacancies in England fell from a peak of 43,000 in 2022 to 27,000 in 2024, the lowest in seven years. This reflects the impact of the NHS Long Term Workforce Plan, which aims to expand domestic training, reduce international reliance, and improve retention. Government support includes increased nursing education funding, apprenticeships, and recruitment campaigns to build a sustainable, homegrown healthcare workforce.
