🎓 200K Students in Hungary Followed BA or BSc Programs

In Hungary’s 2023/24 school year, BA/BSc programs led tertiary enrollment (189.3K), followed by MA/MSc, vocational training, and PhD/DLA. The "Change of Pace in Higher Education" strategy focuses on access for disadvantaged students, vocational-higher education links, and accreditation reform. $11.1B has been allocated for digital infrastructure, including Microsoft Teams. These efforts aim to enhance accessibility, equity, and innovation while supporting lifelong learning and global competitiveness.

🏭 500K+ Industrial Robots Were Installed in 2023

In 2023, global industrial robot installations were highest in handling with 280K units, followed by welding at 92K, emphasizing automation’s role in manufacturing and logistics. Governments are addressing workforce needs through initiatives like Germany’s AI Strategy, Japan’s Robot Revolution Initiative, and China’s Made In China 2025 policy, which focuses on robotics training. The US Advanced Manufacturing Strategy also promotes upskilling to help workers adapt to automation.

⚕️Medical Graduates in Portugal Increase

The number of medical graduates in Portugal fell from 8.53 per 100,000 in 1985 to 3.25 in 1992 but rose to 16.23 in 2021. This reflects government efforts through expanded medical school admissions, the National Health Plan, and incentives for doctors in underserved areas. Reforms in medical education and workforce planning have strengthened Portugal’s healthcare system to address physician shortages and growing healthcare demands.
