🎓 >20% Rise in Apprentices in the US

Between 2015 and 2025, registered apprentices in the US grew over 88%, from 360K to 680K, driven by federal investments and initiatives like the American Apprenticeship Initiative. Focused on expanding apprenticeships in healthcare, IT, and manufacturing, the government aimed to close skills gaps and increase workforce diversity while also improving earn and learn apprenticeships, to sustain inclusive, high-quality apprenticeship programs.

Argentina faces a persistent AI brain drain, with more AI professionals leaving than arriving.. Economic instability and limited opportunities drive this trend, unlike countries like Canada that attract AI talent. To reverse this, Argentina’s government aims to boost AI through a National AI Strategy, aligning with global trends and recommendations while also focusing on funding, education, infrastructure, and public-private partnerships, enhancing career prospects and innovation to retain and attract skilled professionals.

⚕️ Latvia’s Medical Graduates Amounted to 27.3 per 100K

In 2021, Latvia (27.3) and Ireland (26.0) led in medical graduates per 100,000 inhabitants, while Japan, Korea, and Israel showed lower figures. Policies such as Ireland’s Graduate Entry Programmes, expanded medical school capacity in Europe. Countries like Latvia and Lithuania have expanded medical school capacity and increased funding for healthcare education as part of broader national strategies to ensure sustainable healthcare delivery and equitable access.
