💰 Nearly 20% Rise in India's Education Budget
India's education budget expanded from ₹820B in FY 2018 to ₹1.12T in FY 2024, reflecting the government's dedication to quality education. Aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, this increase prioritizes digital learning, infrastructure, and skill development to enhance accessibility and quality. The NEP 2020 emphasizes access, equity, quality, affordability, and accountability. The skills budget has also seen a significant boost, with a 38% increase aimed at enhancing employability.
⚛️ China’s Operational Nuclear Capacity Grew 20%
China's nuclear capacity boomed from 308 MW (1991) to 56,888 MW (2024), fueled by energy transition goals. The 14th Five-Year Plan (2021–2025) targets 70 GW by 2025 and 200 GW by 2035 and relies on constructing 150 new reactors, requiring a $370–440 billion investment. China aims for nuclear power to supply at least 15% of electricity by 2050.
⚕️ 20% Rise in Healthcare Providers in South Korea
South Korea's healthcare workforce has expanded from 61,780 in 2000 to 100,400 in 2022, driven by an aging population and rising healthcare demands. To counter a projected shortage of 15,000 professionals by 2035, the government will increase medical school admissions starting in 2025. The Ministry of Health and Welfare (MOHW) is reinforcing essential healthcare services and striving to reduce health inequalities through its National Health Plan.
