🤝 20% Rise in Apprenticeships in Canada

Apprenticeship registrations in Canada surged from nearly 200,000 in 2000 to about 459,000 in 2023, with peaks in 2013 and 2023. The post-pandemic recovery reflects rising demand for skilled trades and government support through initiatives like the Apprenticeship Incentive Grant and Canada Apprentice Loan. These efforts aim to enhance workforce skills, address labor shortages, and improve certification rates, ensuring Canadians are well-equipped for the evolving job market.

☀️ Over 80GW of Solar Energy in Germany

In 2023, Germany led the EU in solar photovoltaic capacity with over 82 GW, followed by Spain and Italy with over 30 GW each. This growth aligns with the EU's REPowerEU plan, targeting 320 GW by 2025. Germany's Solar Package I aims to simplify regulations and boost installations, contributing to its goal of generating 80% of electricity from renewables by 2030, enhancing energy independence and security across Europe.

💰 5% of GDP Spent on Health in the Philippines in 2022

The Philippines' health expenditure as a share of GDP rose from 3.06% in 2000 to 5.1% in 2022, peaking at 5.87% in 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The government aims to enhance healthcare access through the Universal Health Care Act, which provides essential services without financial hardship. Despite increased spending, high out-of-pocket costs remain a challenge, prompting efforts to improve public funding and address inflation's impact on healthcare affordability.
