🧑‍🏫 US Teacher Salary Increased by 19% in the Past Decade

The average teacher salary in public schools in the United States has steadily increased over the years to $66K in 2021. However, inflation outpaced these gains, leaving teachers earning $3.7K less on average than a decade ago. This widening pay gap, known as the "teacher pay penalty," sees teachers earn 23.5% less than comparable college graduates, receiving only 76.5 cents on the dollar compared to other professions.

💨 Indonesia's CO2 Emissions Peak at 620Mt, Highest in Southeast Asia

CO2 emissions in South East Asia have been increasing, with Indonesia recording the highest emissions in the region at 620 Mt. Vietnam follows with 326 Mt in emissions. Thailand, despite high emissions, shows a declining trend, contrasting with Malaysia, where emissions are on the rise. This regional overview highlights varying trajectories in CO2 emissions, reflecting different national policies and levels of industrial activity.

🌏 Mandarin Is the Second Most Spoken Language Worldwide

Unsurprisingly English is the most spoken language globally, with over 1.5 billion speakers. Originating from the UK, it has evolved into the international language for business and politics. Mandarin is the second-most spoken language, with 1.1 billion speakers, primarily in China and Taiwan. Despite India having the world's largest population, its languages rank lower in the global tally due to the multitude of languages spoken within the nation.
