🧑🏫 US Teacher Salary Increased by 19% in the Past Decade
The average teacher salary in public schools in the United States has steadily increased over the years to $66K in 2021. However, inflation outpaced these gains, leaving teachers earning $3.7K less on average than a decade ago. This widening pay gap, known as the "teacher pay penalty," sees teachers earn 23.5% less than comparable college graduates, receiving only 76.5 cents on the dollar compared to other professions.

Despite India having the world's largest population, its languages rank lower in the global tally due to the multitude of languages spoken within the nation.
