🎓 10% Growth in the Number of China’s Colleges and Universities

In 2022, the number of colleges and universities in China reached 2,700, showing a steady increase over the years. Growth has been gradual year on year, but since 2020, the rate of new establishments has slowed. This reduction in growth rate reflects a maturing education system and a focus on improving existing institutions rather than expanding rapidly.

🌾 Japan's Wheat Protein Shipments Fell By Nearly 14% in 5 Years

The shipment volume of wheat proteins in Japan declined from nearly 20,000 tons in 2018 to around 18,000 tons in 2022, a 14% drop. This decline can be attributed to multiple factors: a shift towards low-carb and gluten-free diets, increased competition from alternative protein sources, and fluctuations in agricultural productivity and imports. Economic factors such as trade policies and global market prices may also have influenced the reduced shipment volumes.

✨ Government Expenditure on Space Programs Exceeded $100B Globally

In 2022, global government expenditure on space programs exceeded $100B, marking a significant milestone. Since 2014, spending on space initiatives has steadily increased each year, driven by advancements in technology, national security interests, and ambitions for space exploration.
